Waimate Floral Society
The entries for the Society's
annual phow have risen steadily each year sinee its re-commence-v meat, and this one is proving no exception to the rule. As a matter of fact there are 120 exhibitors, as> against 80 last year. In Class A '(gardeners) l there are 18 entries for pot plants, 77 for cut flowers, 59 for fruit, and 74 for vegetables; Class B, 31 for pot plants, 73. for . ■cut flowers, 68 for fruit, and 112 I for vegetables; for special prizes I 46, children’s prizes 84, extra I - exhibits 125, poultry 48, children’s [ pets 25, needle and fancy work 39, a total of 818 entries. The show will be opened by His Worship the Mayor (Mr J. Manchester) at 2.80 p,m. The committee and stewards are working
hard to get everything in v and, given fine weather, the show ? should be the meat successful yet (if held in Waimata. -The £ Waimata \ in the. street L and inibe evening.
