Mr A. Harris, of the Empire Hotel, left for Dunedin by yesterday’s express. Mr F. Akhurst arrived yesterday from Dunedin, whore he had spent a holiday of a few days. It is understood that the new 'Commandant of the New Zealand forces, Major General Babington, will spend a few weeks in Australia en route, visiting New South Wales, where Mrs Babington lias relatives.
