Farmers' Union.
MEETING AT MORVEN. A meeting of farmers was held at Morven on Thursday evening to hear an address by Mr Glass, Hie organising secretary of the Farmers' Union. After Mr Glass had addressed the meeting and answered questions, it was resolved to form a branch of the Farmers' Union in Morven. Those present formed themselves into a canvassing committee to canvass for members and to report at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 1, in the Morven school-room after the Settlers* meeting. One member stated that he had 17 hamet to give already, and judging from the manner in which this was taken up, there is every indication that a strong branch will be formed there.
