Tennis.

The return match, Oamaru v. Waimate, was played on the local courts on Saturday last. The weather was perfect, and as the Oamaru players arrived by drag, they were able to take full advantage of the day. The result of the games was ranch the same as at Oamaru, the Waimate players being* beaten by 82 points. Out of twenty-four sets Waimate won only four, although several others Were keenly fought out. Miss Manchester again won the Ladies' Singles by excellent play, while the Combined between Mr Spain and Miss Medley, and Mr Perry and Mrs Pitcaithly was a fine exhibition of the game.
