The annual meeting of the abo>e club was held last evening, a good attendance of members f)< ing presided over by Mr G. S. Mathus, Vied-Presidcut. Manchester, and the Treasurer, Mr W. Nelson, for the yood position in which the club rftood. H hoped thatlfcU members would pull cogi.ih.et- in %he coining year 10 make the club a still greater success. Accounts amounting to £3 2s^ were passed for payment. 1~ Dr Barclay and Mr F. G. SmaM were elected members &f th^ club. - # A vote of thanks was accorded the retiring officials. \ ,#* The secretary took the chair for the election of officers, which resulted as tollows : — Patron, Mr , .). F. Douglas. On the motion of | Mfrisrs Siueliur and Scott, who eulogised hid past services fco the club, Mr Mithi^s was elected president. He returned thanks for the honour done him, and promised to do his best for the club. Vice-presidents, Messrs J. Sinclair, W. J. Wills, J. H. Dean, S. Binney, J. Symon, and Dr Barclay ; captain, Mr W. L. Scott (re-elected) ; deputy-captain, Mr 0. Dash (re-elected) ; secretary^ Mr J. \V. Mancheater (re-elected); treasurer, Mr A. Berry ; committee, Medßrs C. \fanchester, Hutton, W. Meyer, F. Saver, W. Bryson, and W. George ; auditor, Mr W. L. Scott. Afler considerable discussion, the subscription wa3 fixed at Ss 6d for the year. Mr Scolt b "ought up the question of altering the name of the club, but the matter is to be held over for a time. The opening run was fixed for November 9fch, the place to be lixed by the committee. , The third wwek in each month was fixed as the night for committee meetings.
