The road was oue which narrowed in the middle and at one end, met Parsonage Road at a sh*rp angle, •And trees overhung the road. It had been very dangerous for years. Mr Williams offered a strip of land for nothing. Mr Hughes offered a ship for £5, but would re Greet their own fence. Another had not been approached. As the council would need to pay half tho expenses, and -as the Borough Council had no engineer, they would ask the council to allow its engineer to report on the matter. Mr Walker said it would only benefit the borough ratepayers, not those of Deep Creek. 'Die land on each side snoiild bo paid by the body in whose district it was, ' Mr Hardie said the County Council took the roftd over in the first place.
