The monthly meeting of the Otaio ; School Committee was held on Monday .evening. Present — Messrs Brunton < (chairman), A. Martin jnr., Smith and Walton. The teaoher'a report showed an average attendance of 25 for the ,past mouth. It was decided that the . teacher's suggestions re a library for the school must be held over. The • jhairman's actions re supply of coal .for the winter were --approved, and ho vas authorised to get some firewood. \lr Martin kindly offered to cart, and iv Smith to c\it up the wood. Mr Walton also kindly offered to put in Uhe panes •of glass in the school If; was resolved that Miss 'Gardner be allowed to give the children t a. holiday on Friday in honour of the ) relief of Maf eking. Several accounts \v?ere pasaed for paymeno.
