The yardmgs of most classes ot stock at Addington weie below the average^ including
3243 fat sheep and lambs, 0298 store sheep, 260 head of cattle, and 432 pigs. Business was husk in most depaitments, and nearly all sold at satisfactory prices. Cattle —The 157 fat cattle were mostly ho) A to handy weights, and late prices were maintained. Best beef los to 17s 6d, and oth.Pi 12s to 14s 6d. Steers brought £4 10s to V! 10*, heifeis £3 15s to £6 17s Gd, cows £3 to £5 ss. The few store anil dairy cattle in s ild well. Good cows brought £5 to £7, 8-\eai-old steeis brought, from £3 to £3 10s, 2-year old do. £2 to £2 2s 6d, 2^-year-old heifers £2 15s, an I yeaihngs to 18 monthsold cattle 20s to 30s. Sherp. The bulk of the fat sheep were ewes, and this class met with keen competition and lose m puce Extia prune fetched fioin 12s to 14s, good do. 11s to 12s 6d, medium 83 6d to 10; 6-1. Freezing wethers maintained late lates, and sold at fiom 13sGd to 14s 9d, otheis 12=, 3d to 13s 3d. A smal 1 entiy of fat lambs, mostly of inferior quality fieezeis, sold at from 10s Gd to 12s 3d, aiid otheis from 7s 6d to 9s 6d. A large and mixed yarding of stoic sheep was made up mostly of small turnip sheep and breeding ewes. All soits sold at an advance. Forward vethers brought 12s 2d to 13s 3d, others 10s T)d to lls 9d, forwaid mixed sexes 11s to 12s (id, others 10s 6d to 10s 9d, good young ewes 10s to lls 3d, full-mouthed do. Ss to 9s 4d, mixed 2-tooths 9s to lls 6d, lambs 8s 6d to i)s 3d for forward, and 5s lid to 7s 9d for backward sorts. Pigs. Fat pigs were considerably firmer. TSaconeis 4Jd to 4Jd, and porkers up to 5d per lb.
