Cattle. — 171 heal were yarded, the greater pioportion good to prime quality, a pen or two being extra heavy weights. Competition lacked spirit and late rates were barely mainlamed. Best bullocks sold at £6 17s 6d to LS 10s, extra hea\y L 9, medium L 4 17s 6d to L(5 7s 61, best heifers L 5 7s to L 7, extra pnme LB, medium L 4 10s to L 5 Is 6d, light and aged LI 10s to L 3 10s. Sheep. 1153 fat sheep vrere psnned, nearly all ciossbred ewes, medium to prime quality. A few pens of wethers forward were of nice quality. Sales opened at last week's rates and differed but slightly all through. Best wetheis sold sit 12s Cd to 13s 6d, medium 11s M to 12s, best ewes 11s 3d to 12s, extra heavy 32s 9d, mediam to good 8s 9d to 10s 3d, light and aged 7s 6d to 8s 3d. 443 fat lambs were penned. The demand was less active, and puces moie in favour of buyers. Best sold at 8s 9d to 10s 6d, others 7s 6d to 8s 6d. Pigs. 134 pigs were penned, which met with a good demand. Su«kers sold at 11s to 14s 6d, slips 15s to 225, stores 25s to 30s, poikers 31s to 41s, baconers 46s to 70s. Wheat. The market is stagnant. Velvet is worth Is 4d to 2s 6d, tuscan 2s 4d, red &oits 2s 3d, fowl feed 2s. Oats. Oats are comparatively neglected. To-day's values are : Prime milling Is 4£d, best feed Is 3Jd, ordinary Is 2^d to Is 3d. Barley. Barley is if anything duller. Fume bright samples are quoted up to 3s 3d, oidmary 2s 6d to 2s 81, milling and feed Is <>d to 2s 2d.
