MAKIKIHI SALE
Messrs Guinness and LeCreu report that at this sale yesterday there was an entry of about 3000 sheep and 20 head cattle. Theattendance, though small, was made up chiefly of buyers, and, contrary to expectations, the sale was very successful, e\ erj lot being sold at full maiket value. Sheep. Lamb^, extra pood stores, 9s_ medium 7s 10d, fat ewes 8s 7d, 2-tooth ewes and wethers 9s Gd, full-mouth ewes 4& to 6s lid, do. half-bred ewes Cs 8d to 6s lOd, Cattle. Fat cows L 4 10s to Lo 10s, turnipers L 3 to L 4.
