TEMPERANCE WORK
ARAMOHO BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Aramoho branch of the W.C.T.U. was held in St. David’s Church on Thursday afternoon, when there was a fair attendance of members. Mrs. Chesswas presided. Mrs. Wellard conducted the devotions, and the roll call was responded to by quotations given by all the members. Remits for the convention to be held in Wellington next month were discussed and approved of, and the matter of a delegate to attend was left in the hands of the president and secretary to finalise arrangements. A report was received re the enjoyable annual picnic held at Aramoho Park. Mrs. Day, president of the Wanganui East branch, gave an address on Frances Willard, which was listened to with great interest. The speaker was accorded a vote of thanks.
After a prayer and the Benediction afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Gilmour and Good.
