PLUNKET NURSE ENTERTAINED
FUNCTION AT WAITOTARA On a recent afternoon the Wailotara committee of the Plunket Society met in the hall supper room to farewell Nurse Tompkins, who is leaving the district and going to Australia. A delicious afternoon tea was served, after which the president (Mrs. A. Hurley), in an appropriate speech, asked Nurse Tompkins to accept a travelling clock with the best wishes of the committee. Nurse Tompkins, in thanking the ladies for their useful gift and the president for her kindly remarks, said it had always given her much pleasure to visit the Waitotara branch.
