MARTON CHILD INJURED

FALL FROM BUS. MARTON, Feb. 27. Serious injuries to the head were suffered by a young boy who fell from a bus on the Sanson Highway on Saturday afternoon. He was:— Roger Whale, aged 5 years, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Whale, of Marton. While travelling along the road as a passenger in a bus the boy apparently leaned against the door and pressed the catch so that the door sprang open and he was precipitated on to the road surface, striking his head severely. He was taken to the Palmerston North Hospital in the Free Ambulance. Last evening it was reported that his condition had shown little change and he was still on the seriously ill list
