MOTOR-CAR MISHAP TAIHAPE BOWLERS (Own Correspondent) TAIHAPE, Feb. 27. A car driven by Mr. W. R. Fleming ran off the road, near Tangiwai, yesterday morning, and collided with the bank, resulting in minor damage to the steering gear. Mr. Fleming was driving a party of bowlers to Raetihi at the time of the mishap, and had as passengers in the car Messrs. E. Loader, J. D. C. Davis, H. Holmes, F. Read, and R. Easton. A Tangiwai farmer, Mr. E. Stevens, took the party to Raetihi in his car, and later returned them to the scene of the accident, where Mr. Fleming’s car was repaired, and the bowlers returned home.
