WEIGHT-GUESSING COMPETITIONS (Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, Feb. 26. The following are the results of the weight-guessing competitions at the Taihape show on Thursday:— Horse (correct weight 13581b).—J. Doole (Taihape), 13611 b, 1; C. E. Missen (Taoroa), 13501 b, 2; Don Stewart (Palmerston North), 13491 b, 3d. Turkey (correct weight 13Wb).— P. D. Marshall, . “W.J.T.,” 131ilb; G. L. Brown (Taihape), 131 Mb; N. Bradley (Taihape), 131 Mb; A. Dunn (Mataroa), 13Wb. A draw was made, the successful entrant being Hr. G. L. Brown, Taoroa. Lamb (correct weight 40Mb).—C. Galvan (Taoroa) and V. Smith (Taoroa) guessed the correct weight and divide the first prize-money; E. C. Transom (Utiku) 4021 b, G. A. Bicknell (Taihape) 4011 b and W. Berridge (Taihape) 40Hb, divide second prizemoney. SHOW LAMBS Five members of the Rangitikei A. and P. Association, including the president (Mr. F. Garmonsway) and the secretary (Mr. E. Darvill), together with several members of the Young Farmers’ Club, visited the Longburn freezing works on Friday to see the Taihape show fat lambs killed. Sheep (correct weight 166:11b).—5. G. Weir (Bell's Junction, Taihape), 165 Mb, 1: T. A. Gilbert (Taoroa), 168 Mb, 2. HORSE JUMPING ADDITION AL RESULTS. The following are additional results of horse jumping competitions decided at the Taihape show last Thursday:— A. E. Samway’s entry and another. 1; J. Goodwin’s Nurmi and another, 2. High Jump, Ponies 14.2 and under. —J. Goodwin’s Rajah. 1; Tom Price's entry, 2. Bareback Riding.—R. J. Goodwin, 1; R. Whiteman, 2; Miss Pat Ferguson, 3.
