SHOW NIGHT ATTRACTION ARMY ATHLETES COMPETE (Own Correspondent) TAIHAPE, Feb. 24. Close finishes in nearly every evem made the floodlight sports held at Taihape on show night most interesting. Soldiers from the military camp at Waiouru competed in the events, and White (army) won the 100 yards. He is a well-known Taranaki runner. The relay between the army and the Taihape Club was one oi the highlights of the meeting. Results are as follow: Half-mile Cycle Handicap.—F. Graham (25yds.) 1, K. Kelly (40yds.) 2, C. The army lost ground when one of their rep.esentatives dropped the baton, otherwise the finish would have been much closer (White (Army) finished very fast. He is a Taranaki runner.
