TOWN v. RAILWAY K. CREIGHTON SCORES 62. (Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE. Feb. 22. Owing to the Taumarunui team being unable to travel to Taihape during the week-end, the game between them and Taihape “reps.” was cancelled, but the Railway team tried conclusions with the Taihape Town team and performed creditably well The town team batted first and due to a fine first wicket partnership of 87 runs, ran up the good score of 177 for five wickets declared. Creighton batted well for his 63, and he was helped by J. Muncaster (42) and T Whittle (27). M. Reid bowled at the low cost of ten runs apiece. Railway at the call of time had made 121 for four wickets. D. Bailey made a useful 44, whilst J. Cherry compiled a useful 38. Detailed scores are as follow: Taihape Town. J. Muncaster, b R.
