CROQUET CHALLENGE MATCH (Own Correspondent.) RAETIHI, Feb. 23. The fourth and final match for the Waimarino Shield was played at the Raetihi lawns on Wednesday afternoon between teams representative of the Raetihi and Ohakune Croquet Clubs. The match resulted in another win for Ohakune by a margin of seven points. On the aggregate of the four matches the Ohakune players compiled a lead of 76 points and so have successfully resisted the challenge for another year. This game was the last one in which Mrs. Curran, the Ohakune player, will be taking part as she is leaving the district. The scores in detail for the final match were as follow (Raetihi players being mentioned first) Singles.—Mrs. Sandford 26. beat Mrs. Bayne 23; Mrs. Windle 8. lost to Mrs. Curran 26; Mrs. Stewart 26. beat Mrs. Bradshaw 12: Mrs. Marshall! 14, lost to Mrs. Lightband 26; Mrs. Comer 26, beat Mrs. Bergenstrom 20;i Mrs. Mitchinson 26, beat Mrs. Kerr 15. Doubles.—Mesdames Windle and Comer 23. lost to Mesdames Bayne and Lightband 26; Mesdames Sandford and Marshall 23, lost to Mesdames Curran and Bergenstrom 26; Mesdames Stewart and Mitchinson 20, lost to Mesdames Bradshaw and Kerr 26. Totals: Raetihi 193 points, Ohakune 200 points. HYDATID DISEASE INTERESTING LECTURE PROMISED

An interesting exhibit on the nature and principles o£ prevention of hydatid disease is to be presented at the Raetihi show on Saturday. The exhibit. which is being presented under the auspices of the Health Department. is comprised of a short moving picture and specimens of hydatid-in-fested organs. Talks on the subject of hydatid and instruction in the proper method of dosing dogs will be given by Dr. E. Bennett, of the research department of the Otago T'mversify Medical School.
