BADMINTON AT PATEA
(Own Correspondent) PATEA, Feb. 22. The following are the teams to give an exhibition of badminton in the Assembly Hall at the school on Thursday, at 8 p.m.:— Taranaki.—Messrs. J. Spedding, K. Kemp, Misses D. McCarthy, and K. O'Sullivan. Wanganui.—Messrs. A. Holroyd. J. Broad, Misses T. Greaves, and B. Babbage. Mr. J. Spedding represented lhe North Island and New Zealand against Australia, while Miss L. Greaves won a single and with A. Holroyd a mixed double when lhe Australians visited Wanganui. This was the only occasion when a provincial team won more than one match against lhe visitors.
