MARGOT Goes Shopping

Pearl Dial Watches. The selection of wrist watches at Nettleship’s is amazingly varied and attractive, and there is no denying that those with the pearl dials are very lovely.

Shoe Styles for the Races. To complete the beauty of your gown or your race suit go to Meikla Lang’s Shoe Co., for the latest in smart autumn shoes. Most appealing designs are seen in the new copper, cinnamon and rust shades. New effects and stylings are noticeable in this season's footwear from the wellknown manufacturers Bostock and Clark. Glace and suede are combined on one or two very graceful shoes in the new shades, also in black and navy. For wearing with the latest tweeds are laced shoes with all-over punched effect, a new feature being a “protector” banc of thronged call round the toe and extending well round the sides. These attractive shoes arc in rust shade, also in green. Eyelet work, open sides, spring straps, scalloped fronts and attractive stitchings are a few of the new treatments in the autumn footwear. Very graceful styles are seen ii the wide-fitting shoes.

Enticing Hats. There is something far more to the felts and velours this season than just a hat, as you will see when you inspect the autumn display at Miss Bringezu’s. There is a gracious subtlety in the new method of trimming. Enticing paradise aspreys, feather tips, felt stencils, marabout pom-poms, leather, glamorous veils, cire ribbon in new effects and multi-coloured ribbons are effectively used on hats in the new colours—copper, cinnamon, new petrel, dark viking or London tan, moss green, new wine, and dahlia and plume shades. There are hats sweeping upwards, high crowns, Quakershape, witch and square crowns, upturned dipping, or wide brims: also plain tailored shapes. The English and Australian velours and felts are beautifully light in vzeight. And the fact that there are so many large fittings will be appreciated. The latest berets, too, are softly supple and very becoming. English lightweight fur felt hats with interesting crowns and cleverly stitched, designed to wear with suits or fcr sports are equally attractive."
