COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
A most enjoyable evening was spent at the Savage Club Hall on Saturday when upwards of 80 guests attended a dance given by Mr. and Mrs. H. Ward Io celebrate the com-ing-of-age of their only daughter, Stella.
Mr. E. Olliver supplied the music for dancing, which was thoroughly enjoyed, especially the famous Lambeth Walk, which was well patronised and caused a great deal of fun. Lucky dances and competition’s were held, the prize-winners were:—Mrs. J. Johnston, Miss Smyth. Miss E. McNiven, Miss Z. Wall, Mr. R. Kidd, Mr. Patrick, Mr. H. Ward.
The supper tables were tastefully decorated with carnations, sweet peas and maidenhair fern and there were plenty of good thing’s to eat.
Mr. G. Walton acted as toast-mas-ter and Mr. C. Spencer was M.C. at the dance.
Mrs. Ward received her guests wearing a black chiffon silk velvet frock trimmed with white Irish lace. Miss S. Ward looked charming in a coral coronation crepe frock with net bolero to tone.
