WEDDING

GOOD—HANDLEY. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at Christ Church, Wanganui, on February 15, when Victoria Lambert (Rhea), twin daughter of Mi. and Mrs. John Handley, of Raetihi, was married to Richard Lovett, elder son of Mr. R. C. Good, and the l?te Mrs. Good, of Aramoho. The Rev. Parr officiated, Mr. Wentworth Slatir, being the organist. As the, bride entered the church with her father, she looked very beautiful in a gown of rich cream satin cut on slim-fitting lines, the V neckline being finished with scollops. The sleeves were shirred at the shoulder and finished with a row of tiny satin buttons from elbow to pointed wrist. Her train, which fell from the waist, was embroidered with silver thread, and the veil of tulle which also had an embroidered hem was held in place with a pearl coronet. A sheath of cream roses, gladioli, and maidenhair fern completed a dainty picture. The bride was attended by her twin sister, Haze], and Miss Betty Good, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in dainty frocks of blue floral ninon and wore wreaths of blue and pink organdie flowers on their hair and carried sheaths of pink roses and gladioli. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr. Bert Poad, the groomsman being Mr. Lindsay Good (brother of the bridegroom). The church was prettily decorated by friends and relations of the bride with roses and hydrangeas in different shades.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Rendezvous, where a large number of guests were entertained, the bride’s mother receiving them. She wore a model frock of gailycoloured spaced floral design on black ground of triple weight crepe Athol with black coat and hat to tone. Her bouquet was of red roses and maidenhair fern. She was assisted by Mrs. D. P. Matson (sister of the bridegroom) who was wearing a smart brown costume, with hat to tone and carried a bouquet of pink roses and maidenhair fern.

After the reception, the guests assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Matson, Aramoho, to bid farewell to the happy couple who left for the south. The bride travelled in a copperbrick two-piece suit of symphony crepe, the bodice being a threetoned stripe of hand-screened pure silk in shades of honey-gold, green, and rookwing blue with pleated skirt and bolero with brown accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Good will make their future home in Aramoho.
