HORSES FOR WANGANUI WORK ON SATURDAY Chief interest at Hawera on Saturday morning was centred on the local horses engaged at Wanganui and some useful sprinting was accomplished. The former is very well at present, and promises to be hard to dispose of in his Wanganui engagements. Le Marquis (Grylls) ran five furlongs without being extended in 1.3 L After his two good thirds at Hawera he will have many friends in the maiden event next Thursday. Disturbed (TokD was responsible for an excellent display over two rounds of the schooling hurdles, ten in all. He is a quick and clean fencer.
