WANGANUI BRANCH COMMITTEE MEETING There ..were only three absentees from the first committee meeting of the year of the Wanganui branch of the W.D.F.U., Mrs. S. Scott presiding, apologies being received from Mesdames Wickham, J. Blyth and F. Spurdie. Motions of sympathy were passed with Mrs. Hibbard, of Taihape. and the relatives of the late Mr. Warnock.

The secretary was instructed to write a letter to Mrs. W. J. Polson, : who is in hospital in Wellington. The I committee decided that owing to the I unseasonable weather and the fact I that. the branch was very financial, j no garden party be held this summer. FOR SUMMERTIME MEALS—
