OYSTER SEASON OPENS
1 OV EAI X STRAIT TRAWLING DREDGING IN ROUGH WEATHER [ Per Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, Feb. 16. Although the weather was rough for the opening of the 1939 oyster season in Foveaux Strait yesterday ten trawlers left their moorings before daybreak and dredged throughout the day. The catch was estimated at 300 sacks.
