FARM MANAGER FOUND SHOT
RIFLE BESIDE BODY TRAGEDY AT EREWHON STATION (Own Correspondent). TAIHAPE, Feb. 16. Mr. Albert Stanley Fleet, manager of Erewhon sheep station, Taihape, was found dead this morning near the homestead with a bullet wound in his head. A rifle was lying beside the body. Deceased was a single man and had been manager of Erewhon for several years. He was well known and highly respected. An inquest was held before Mr. J. Loader, J.P., at Taihape. It was stated in evidence that deceased was 41 years of age Dr. H. M. Hay said that the cause of death was a gunshot wound in the head. The coroner returned a verdict that the injury had been self-inflicted.
