The annual report and oal- , a nee-sheet will be presented and reports of the division’s activities dur-ng the past 12 months will be of interest to all who attend. Th° general public and interested persons are cordially invited to be present and new members will be welcomed. During the past 12 months the local brigade has had a very busy time as the work now involves transport to outside districts. Regarding “Fitness Week” the ambulance is also doing its share of work in this direction. Public duties, of course, will receive consideration first at the various public functions. On Saturday, Feb. 25.. the St. John male division will be taking part in a demonstration, possibly in conjunction with the Fire Brigade, and it is hoped that with the firefighters a most spec-tacu-ar display of firefighting and rescue work will be carried nut. All members of the brigade who are not working on that day, are requested to communicate with the duty officer at once to enable a team of ambulance men to take part in the fire display. A splendid item is being arranged and opportunity will be taken in using the gas masks as part of the work. “Splints” sincerely hopes that more members will report for public dutyin the near future, especially as the coming two weeks will be very busy ones. If this work does not improve a new scheme will have to be brought into operation, when every member will do duty in turn or find a substitute. A rumour of the ambulance members having a week-end camp is afoot, but at present it is out of the question, owing to the division not possessing suitable tents, etc. All those members who have been away from the weekly parades will be welcomed at the annual meeting on Monday next.
