BRITISH ATTEMPT ON AIR SPEED RECORD
LORD NUFFIELD FINANCING SECRET PLANE LONDON, Feb. 12. Lord Nuffield is financing .the building of a secret aeroplane expected to recapture the record for Britain with a speed of 500 miles an hour, states Reynolds News. The present world air speed record of 440 miles an hour was reached by Warrant Officer F. Agello, of the Italian Air Force, in a seaplane on October 22. 1934.
