SPORTS CLUB. (Own Correspondent). PUKEOKAHU, Feb. 11. The final meeting of the sports club for this season was held last Monday evening, Mr. Wm. Beuck in the chair. A very satisfactory balance-sheet was presented and duly passed. The chairman in his remarks paid a high tribute to his hard-working committee and, in expressing his thanks, also said how very grateful he was to the general public for their support and presence on January 23. In his opinion the attendance was easily a record both at the sports themselves and also at the dance in the evening. .He also acknowledged with many thanks the assistance willingly given by the ladies of the district at the refreshment booth and the dance supper.
