HEALTH CAMP
TENDERS ACCEPTED INSPECTION TO-DAY BY DR. EUZABE A GUNN At a meeting of the Wanganui Health Camp Trust Board yesterday it was reported that the health camp at Gonville would be completely equipped by February 20. The camp is to be inspected to-day by Dr. Elizabeth Gunn, Director of School Hyg’ene, who organised the first children's health camp at “Annhank," Turakina, on the property of the late Mr. B. P. Lethbridge. An account for £l4 13s for expenses incurred by Mrs. Eide for the sale of health stamps was passed for payment.
The sub-committee set up to deal with tenders for the furnishing of the camp reported that the successful tenderers were the Wanganui Furniture Manufacturing Co.. Cuthbertson and Lee, the D.1.C., Ltd., McGruer’s, Ltd., Hawkens and Quirk, and D. McFarlane and Co. The sub-committee coopted several business men who were not interested in the tenders and a vote of thanks was accorded them for their assistance.
