HOTEL AND STORE DESTROYED
HAWKE’S BAY FIRE LICENSEE FORMER ALL BLACK t Per Press Association.] DAbJNEVIRKE, Feb. 9. Fire in Ormondville destroyed the Settlers Arms Hotel, which was also burned seven years ago. The present licensee, Mr. C. Badeley, former All Black, had not long taken over. The adjoining store, owned and occupied by Mr. W. R. Oates, was also destroyed. The fire started there and spread to the hotel. The insurance on the store was £llOO, with Lloyds. The hotel insurance is not available.
