WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

Arrangements in connection with the Women’s World Day of Prayer are well in hand, the final executive meeting being held last Friday afternoon. Mrs. Whitlock, president, occupied the chair. This year the Day of Prayer is to be observed on Friday, February 24, when the women of New Zealand will, in rotation, join with some fifty or more countries, whose women are centering their thoughts and raising their voices in prayer, their theme being. “Let us put our love into deeds—and make it real.” In connection with local arrangements, meetings will be held at Wanganui East, Aramoho, Gonville, and Wanganui Central. All meetings are undenominational and women of Wanganui are cordially invited to join their sisters all round the world in the ties of universal Christian fellowship, which is being strengthened year by year. Details will be advertised later, but in the meantime will all interested keep the date clear in order to join in this wonderful world fellowship of women.
