OPIUM SMOKING
CHINESE HEAVILY FINED [ Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 7. Gee Loeng, a Chinese laundryman, was fined I'so in the Magistrate's Court for permitting his premises to be used for the smoking of opium. Eight other Chinese found unlawfully on the premises were fined from £l2 10s to £3O.
