PARISIENNE AFFAIR
INQUIRY TO BE HELD ECHO OF FORBI RY PARK DEMONSTRATION [ Per Press Association.J CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 7. The Board of lhe New Zealand Trotting Association to-night passed the following resolution: “It having come to the knowledge ot the association that there was a very great discrepancy between the respective performances of the horses Parisienne and Lucky Jack in the Dunedin Cup Handicap on the first day of the Forbury Park Trotting Club summer meeting and their respective performances in the Metropolitan Handicap on lhe second day of the same meeting, the association is of opinion that an enquiry should be held for the purpose of ascertaining the reason of such discrepancies and suggests the advisability of the Forbury Park Trotting Club holding such enquiry, but if it prefers not to do so the association proposes to hold one. as at the present time there is a very strong feeling that the respective performances were so inconsistent as to justify those concerned being called upon to give an explanation of the discrenancies."
