PERSONAL. (From the “Chronicle’s” Special Correspondent). Aliss Linda Ingram returned home on Friday after being in the Palmerston North Hospital for nearly three, months. Her friends will be pleased to hear that her condition is much improved. Sir James G. Wilson, who for over 20 years served as chairman of the Alanawatu County Council, is to be presented with an illuminated address by that body at a special meeting to be held on AVednesday. December 22. The following pupils of Glyneath School were successful at the recent examinations:—Proficiency: Doreen Afanagh, Hilda Langdon and Afarjorie Carter; Competency: Percy Langdon and Afyrtle Coe. TENNIS. The following games were played in the ladder matches last week:—AV. Montgomery and Mrs J. J. Alansoll defeated AV. Farrer and Aliss Brookie; V. Edwards and T. Alansoll defeated W. Farrer and A. Green.
