CORRESPONDENCE

FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE (To the Editor). Sir, —Will you permit me to correct a paragraph in an article in your issue of Thursday in regard to the freezing workers’ dispute. lam reported as saying that tho companies should not have consented to a conference. What 1 did say was that three other farm ers’ representatives and myself held the view that we should not offer to apply to the Court for a new award, as tho old one had still seven months to run. The freezing companies con ■ sidored that no good purpose would be served in having a conference, and in that, opinion all the farmers’ representatives concurred. —I am, eV-.. W. MORRISON. Maxwelltown, December 10, 1926.
