STATISTICS FOR LAST SALE JANUARY ALLOTMENT EXTENDED. Figures compiled on the business transacted nt the last Wanganui wu;l sale disclose that 8640 bales were offered by the various vendors, and 7610 bales sold. The gross proceeds amounted to £121,202 10s lOd, the average price per bale being £l5 18s 6d, while the price per pound was 10.75 d. The decline in price since the corresponding sale last year is illustrated r y the opening figures for last season. At the first Wanganui sale of 1925, 11,095 bales were, offered and 8978 sold, for a total return of £163,974 2s lOd, which works out at £lB 5s 3d per bale, aiil 12.08 d per lb. For the March sale, the last of U-t summer, the' return had fallen to 10.321 per pound. Future Sale Dates. Future sale dates for this season ar * .January 21, Februarv 24, and March 21. For the January sale, which will be lhe biggest of the series, and which will begin at, 4 p.m., 20,000 bales were originally allocated, but the Wool Committee has now extended this to 25.000 bales. The February allocation is 20.000 bales.
