RidJdJablr,:: of Belfast, Ivlib, on the afternoon ot"§epten))b&r' 7tJi;~lt)oS, rescued a little giirl, named Myrtle ifronnington, frcon drowning at Sumiter. girl was play,ing\ on the sand ..betjpeen the Simmer ?i§et«£y and Cave Rock when she fell into fche channel of the driver and was carried away: Mr Riddoieik, Jcyho was standing on the jetty at. tihe feme, jumped into the water, a-eached the girl and held her up until they were both drawn to the shore. There was a very strong current running out at the time and Mr Riddock, -who was not a strong swimmer, and who was hampered by his clothes, incurred great risk in going to the girl's ass:stance. l \ :
