WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.
THE TIME DRAWING NEAR FOR CLOSING OF ENTRIES.
It must 'be borne in' mind by all those who intend exhibiting 1 and competing at the annual show of the VVanganui Agricultural Association that entries close at 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, with the secretary, Mr S&lby Morton. Never before in the annals of the Association has such a diversified programme 'been placed before the public for their delectation, for the committee in a very go-a-head spirit have adopted many excellent suggestions made from time to time at their various meetings, and have energetically worked up the details to give due effect thereto, @o that even those satiated with the ordinary shows may be assured that on each of the two successive days—lsth. and 16tih November—there will be something new, (novel, entertaining, and educating to employ every spare moment whilst they are on the beautiful show grounds of cur far-famed picturesque (racecourse, within such easy distance of the ibusiness centre of the town. With regard to the various classes which tend to swell the gigantic programme of the two days' show, the Association are granting every possible privilege to exhibitors, and on the other hand the sight-seers will have free and ample space to criticise the same untrammelled by the slightest inconvenience. The train arrangements, too, have been so framed that every facility will be afforded visitors from far and near and excellent accommodation may be obtained at the various hotels and the many boarding-houses. Those residing an and around the district ■who, during the ensuing busy season are involved in matters coincident with general farming pursuits, should make a point of either interviewing or communicating by letter with the secretary to obtain entry forms, and then, having filled them in, post the same back promptly, thus obviating any possibility of mistake or delay in transit so as to fit in with the closing night, which is, as previously stated, on the 4th November.
