Dalgety and Co., Limited, Welling-* ton, have received the following cablegrams from their London office, dated 13th instant:—
We quote:— New Zealand Frozen Meat.—Canter* bury mutton: Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, f.a.q., 55 to 65 lbs., 4d j»er lb.; light 'weights,-" North Island mutton, 3 7-8 d: prime Canterbury lamb. 32 t0.,4QJb.5. 3 4|d per lb; North Island l^mßv'4ld ; per lb.; heavy weights, North Island lamb, 4d to 4^d per lb. The tone of the market is very depressed. Frozen Beef: Prices are iirmer. Ox hinds. 180 to 220 lbs., f.a.ci., 3 3-8 dto 3£d per lb. ; ox fores, 2i to 2- 5-8 d per lb. Butter.—Market firm. Copenhagen oificial quotation unchanged. We ex-* pect no immediate change in prices. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending 7th instant, 73,000 ewt., as compared with 82.000 cwt v for the corresponding period, last year. More demand for unsalted than salted.
