YUGOSLAV COUNCIL
REPUDIATION OF ROYAL GOVERNMENT ALLEGED HOSTILITY TO PATRIOTS. QUESTIONS TO BE DECIDED x LATER. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, December 23. The Yugoslav National Council of Liberation in a strongly-worded accusation broadcast over the Free Yugoslav radio last night deprived King Peter’s Government of all its rights and forbade the King to return to Yugoslavia till after its liberation, when the question of the monarchy can be decided.
The council accused King Peter’s Government of having maintained a hostile attitude to the Yugoslav patriot forces and having spread lies and slanders .about Marshal Tito’s liberation army. It also accused General Mikhailovitch of having organised civil strife in Yugoslavia and of coming to terms with the Germans and their quisling henchmen.
All international treaties and obligations undertaken by King Peter's Government were declared null and void, and it was stated that any future commitments they entered into would not be recognised. These decisions are to operate immediately.
