BOWLING

MASTERTON CLUB EWINGTON BADGES (Notes by “The Bowler”) A challenge match was played on the Masterton Club's green yesterday afternoon between the holders, G. Blane, Doughty, J. Maxwell and E. W. Nielsen (s), of the Masterton Club, and the challengers, C. Moore, Kilgour, H. Carr and J. Shearer (s) of the Park Club. After a most enjoyable and interesting game the Masterton veterans won with the small margin of'4 points. Prior to the commencement' of the game, Mr E. Nielsen extended a welcome to the Park bowlers, and Mr J. Shearer thanked the Masterton team for their hearty welcome. The green was in excellent order and was favourably commented on by the losing team.
