STAFF DANCE

T. BORTHWICK AND SONS. GATHERING IN SAVAGE CLUB ROOMS. In the Savage Club rooms, Masterton, last light members of the staff of Messrs. Thomas Borthwick and Sons Ltd., and their friends spent an enjoyable time at a Christmas staff dance. The rooms were festooned with gaily coloured decorations and dancing was held to music supplied by an orchestra. Mr A. J. Towns capably carried out the duties of M.C. Extras were played by Miss Mollie Iveson. A mystery parcel competition occasioned considerable amusement, the parcel being finally handed to Mr Alan Sanson. A Lucky Spot dance was won by Mr P. Greenlees and Miss Margaret Jones (Auckland).

Mr P. J. Borthwick and Mr A Corskie referred to the success of the gathering and congratulated the girls’ committee responsible for their work. The committee appreciated the assistance of Messrs J. Haywood, D. Wickens, and D. Parsons.
