CROQUET CLUB MEETING OF MEMBERS. '"Timps-Age” Special.) _ A meeting of the Greytown croquet Club was held at the Park Pavilion yesterday afternoon when Mrs H. G. Carter presided. It was decided to draw up a list of names for the handicap singles. Sympathy was expressed with Mrs J. Kiernan, who is at present in the hospital. A donation of 5s was received from Mrs A. Miller, of Petone. At the conclusion of the meeting Mrs Carter wished members a happy Christmas. Personal Items. Miss L. Hill, West Street, was the weekend guest of Mrs Munn, Wain-i gawa. Mrs Shedden and Miss Betty Shedden, Main Street, spent the weekend in Wellington. The friends of Mrs J. Kiernan will be pleased to hear that she is making satisfactory progress towards recovery in the Greytown Hospital. Mrs J. Robb, of East Street, left today to spend a holiday in Wellington. TOWN HALL “THE VOICE OF TERROR" At the Town Hall tonight “Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror” will be shown It is a sensational drama, featuring Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, Evelyn Ankers and Reginald Denny.
