CARTERTON
BOWLING I PROGRESSIVE PAIRS TOURNAMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the weekend a progressive pairs tournament was played between members of the Carterton Club and the Fire Brigade. The winning skip was H. King with L. Curtis runner-up. The leads’ section was won by R. Taucher with W. Catt runner-up. A rirfk from the Howick Club, Palmerston North, visited Carterton at the weekend and played morning and afternoon games with a Carterton rink. They had a most enjoyable time, but were unsuccessful in both games played.
