BATTLE CASUALTIES

OF AMERICANS IN FIFTH ARMY (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, December 9. It has been announced in Washington that the American Fifth Army casualties in Italy, not counting recent fighting. total 12,518. Of these 1,929 were killed and 7,809 wounded. The number of missing is given as 2,780. Casualties sustained during the recent fighting are said to be substantial, but detailed estimates have not yet been received.
