£505 RAISED TO DATE OBJECTIVE £l5OO OBJECTS OF THE CAMPAIGN The Y.M.C.A. forward movement finance campaign is progressing smoothly. Up to today £505 had been collected, with further returns to come. The objective is £l5OO. The object of the campaign is to extend the Y.M.C.A. movement to the Lower Valley, to add to the pi esent cramped gymnasium, to purchase new equipment and to establish a permanent youth camp. In a joint statement today the president (Mr J. A. Kennedy) and the general secretary (Mr L. M. Johansen) state:
“While appreciating to the full the wonderful response to our forward movement.finance campaign, we cannot stress too strongly that this is a public institution and cannot carry on without finance. Our goal is £l5OO and on the fourth day, the last, we are only one-third of the way to that goal. Give us confidence in the work we are doing for your young people by giving now, to the full.”
