BOWLING CLUB COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) In a game for the handicap singles, W. Rowles beat H. Rolls. Personal Items. Visiting their parents, Mr and Mrs Staff Murphy, Waite Street, are Mesdames H. Liddington, W. Lyster, E. Yule (Te Awamutu), P. Hall (Taranaki), H. Gooding (Cambridge) and J. Gooding (Masterton). Mr Staff Murphy has been in ill-health for some time. Swimming Baths. The. Featherston swimming baths will be opened for the season on Saturday. Painful Accident. Mr J. Johnson met with a painful accident yesterday. While assisting to replace a broken plate glass window, a large piece of the glass fell on his arm, severely cutting it. He was taken to Dr. Sharp, who found it necessary to put ten stitches in the arm. COSY THEATRE “MRS WIGGS OF THE CABBAGE PATCH.” Tonight there will be shown the outstanding comedy-drama, “Mrs Wiggs .of the Cabbage Patch,” in which the chief roles are portrayed by Fay Bainter and Hugh Herbert. It is one of the greatest “human interest” pictures ever brought to the screen.
