CHILDREN’S REARING COMPETITIONS FEATHERSTON SCHOOL LIST OF PRIZE WINNERS (“Times-Age” Specials There was a good attendance ot parents at the annual Agricultural Club contests held at the Featherston District High School grounds yesterday afternoon. The judges were Messrs W. H. Hall (calves and R. Hardy (lambs), both of whom complimented the children on the excellent condition of their exhibits. The prize winners were:— CALVES Best dairy type: Melva Henderson 1, i Ross Jansen 2, Ron Farrier 3. Care and handling: Valerie Fellingham 1. Melva Henderson 2, Keith Scoff 3. Jerseys: Ross Jansen 1, Ron Farrier 2, Ellen Warren 3. Ayrshires: Melva Henderson 1, Gilbert Cole 2, Honorah Cole 3. Mixed breeds: Joan Merwood 1, Fay Mclvor 2, Brian McKenna 3. Yearlings: Melva Henderson 1, lan Farrier 2, Gilbert Cole 3. LAMBS Short wool, Edith Kirkland 1, Hilary Fellingham 2, Brian Foothead 3. Long wool: Pat Kelly 1, Lesley Wallace 2, George Wallace 3.
