YOUNG HELPERS LEAGUE

WEST SCHOOL BRANCH PARTY YESTERDAY AFTERNOON The annual party of the West School branch of Dr Barnado’s Young Helpers’ League was held at the residence of the president, Mrs G. G. Tolhurst, Cole Street, Masterton, yesterday afternoon. Over fifty children were present. Afternoon tea was served in the garden, after which a happy time was spent at cricket, games, etc. Miss Tankersley (secretary) announced that the sum of £l7 10s had been collected, and there were some small amounts still to come in. Prizes for the best boxes were awarded to Shirley Chesterman and Bruce Unsworth.
